Rajshree Group manufactures and supplies high-performance Disc Chippers and complete Chipping Systems for pulp and paper mills. Uniform chip size is critical for consistent pulp quality and optimal chemical penetration in the digester.
In 2021 we supplied and commissioned a complete 100 TPD kraft pulp mill in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh — wood yard, digester, brown-stock washing, bleaching and pulp dryer. Since 2003, Rajshree Group has delivered 22+ pulp and paper projects across three continents — India, Africa and the Middle East — totalling over 2,000 TPD of installed capacity.

Why Chip Quality Directly Determines Pulp Quality
In kraft pulping, cooking liquor penetrates wood chips primarily through the ends and cross-section — not through the sides. This means chip thickness is the single most critical dimension: over-thick chips lead to incomplete delignification at the core (producing dark, high-kappa "rejects"), while over-thin chips and excessive fines are over-delignified, wasting fibre and increasing chemical consumption. Rajshree's disc chippers are designed to produce the uniformly sized chips that make pulp quality predictable and consistent.
Our chippers are fitted with precision-machined Swedish-grade tool steel knives mounted on heavy-duty cast steel discs. Knife-to-anvil clearance is factory-set and field-adjustable via micrometric knife clamps — a feature critical in tropical environments where wood species and moisture content vary seasonally. Knife replacement is a single-operator task achievable in under two hours, minimising production downtime.
Downstream of the chipper, Rajshree's chip screening system separates oversized chips (for re-chipping), acceptable chips, pin chips, and fines into individual fractions. Only the accept fraction enters the chip silo — maximising cooking uniformity and reducing reject rates at the digester.
Rajshree chippers are calibrated to produce chips of 20–25 mm length and 3–5 mm target thickness — the internationally accepted window for kraft pulping. Chip acceptance rate (material within spec) typically exceeds 88% of input wood volume, with less than 3% fines generation.
