Chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) cannot be safely transported in concentrated form — it must be generated on-site and used immediately. This is why every modern ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) bleach plant requires a dedicated ClO₂ generation facility. Rajshree Group supplies complete, compact ClO₂ plants sized precisely to the bleaching sequence demand of your pulp mill — eliminating the logistics risks and cost volatility of purchased chlorine-based bleaching chemicals.
Rajshree's ClO₂ plants use the SVP-LITE or Mathieson process, generating ClO₂ from sodium chlorate, sulphuric acid, and a reducing agent under controlled temperature and vacuum conditions. The ClO₂ gas is absorbed into chilled water and fed as a solution directly to the bleaching tower at a controlled concentration of 8–10 g/L. Generation capacity is modulated in real time to match the pulp line production rate.
Safety is paramount in ClO₂ plant design. Rajshree integrates multiple layers of protection: ClO₂ concentration monitors at all leak-prone points, automatic shutdown and dilution water flooding, negative-pressure generator enclosures, and emergency ventilation systems compliant with international process safety standards.
ECF bleaching with ClO₂ produces pulp with 80–88% ISO brightness while generating AOX (adsorbable organic halides) at levels below 0.3 kg/tonne — well within CPCB norms and international export market requirements.
